Our School Council is made up of 2 councillors from each class in years 4, 5 and 6. Councillors were voted for by their classmates in an election. All of our School Councillors wear a gold tie so that they can be easily identified by the other children. The role of the Councillors is to represent their fellow students so that everyone’s views can be heard. We have regular meetings which are chaired by a different Councillor each time. Another Councillor acts as secretary and takes the minutes. At the meetings, Councillors discuss what their classmates have told them about changes which could be made at school. These ideas are then passed to the Senior Leadership Team to consider.
Currently, the School Council are focussing on sport, assemblies and performances and the library.
