The Federation of St Peter’s and St Gildas’ Schools serves pupils in the Crouch End and neighbouring areas. It is made up of St Peter-in-Chains Infant School and St Gildas’ Junior School, which share the same parish, ethos and core values, and have enjoyed a close relationship for half a century.
The schools federated in 2018, meaning that, while they remain separate educational establishments, they are controlled by a single governing body. I am proud to have been recently appointed to serve as Head Teacher for both schools in the Federation. I have been part of the school community for many years and have been an integral part of the evolution of the two schools into the Federated community they are now, we view ourselves as a single school community on two sites.
St Peter’s and St Gildas’ aim to provide an excellent education and make every child and their family feel valued. Staff at both schools work hard to nurture a learning community where potential is recognised and developed. Both schools are inclusive of ability, need and faith, and this inclusiveness is the embodiment of the Christian values on which both were founded.
It is my privilege to continue the exemplary work of these schools, to work ever more closely as a community and to ensure that every child and family choosing St Peter’s or St Gildas’ is rewarded with the very best that we have to offer.
We want exactly the same for your children as you do: a safe, happy environment where they can shine and achieve. And we believe the best way to achieve this is to work closely with you every step of the way.
We hope our website provides you with a comprehensive insight into our schools, and we always welcome visits from prospective families. Please contact the office to book an appointment to see our wonderful schools in action.
