The PE and Sports Premium provides additional funding for the school to improve the quality of PE and sports activities we offer, on top of normal timetabled PE lessons.
What is the PE and Sport Grant?
The government is providing additional funding to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. This funding – provided jointly by the Department for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport – will be allocated to primary schools. Schools must spend the additional funding on improving their provision of PE and sport, but they are free to choose how they spend the money. Below is an outline of the action plan for school improvement in this area.
