Athletics Bronze!

Athletics Tournament- 17^th January 2020

On Thursday the 17^th of January, St. Gildas’ Athletics squad (made up of carefully selected Year Sixes and Year Fives), came a superb third in the Haringey Borough Athletics Tournament held at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Secondary School. 12 schools in the borough took part, and competed in field events (such as: long jump, vertical jump, triple jump and many more) and track relay events (such as Hurdles, 2×1, 4×1,2×2,4×2, Paarlauf and more). The performances were outstanding, with our children showing both sporting talent and impeccable behaviour and sportsmanship.

The squad were very dedicated and trained every Monday, arriving at school at 8am in the morning. A special thanks to the super squad: Alessia, Rosie, Holly, Maisie, Chyna, Leah, Karolina, Moriah, Alice, Alex G, Alex S, Alex R, Liam, Ronan, Shiloh, Jerome, Hugh, Jeremiah, Olly, Malachi and all the other children who tried out too.

A huge thanks to Chris, as always, who expertly trained our squad and organised the tournament so successfully!
