Baptism

We have been learning all about Baptism. Normally we would take our class doll to church to be baptised by Father Sean, but this we had to improvise a little! So we role played the baptism at school instead, and each had an important role in the ceremony. Damien was Father Sean, Antonia and Archie were the parents and Rionagh and Loukas were the godparents. The rest of us were other members of the family, such as aunts and uncles, grandparents, siblings and cousins, and some of us were friends. We named our baby Rosie, and acted out the important rituals in a baptism. We also looked carefully at the symbols on a baptismal candle and made our own candles.
