Earth Heroes

Year 5 have been working so hard on their persuasive writing, computing filming skills and their geographic knowledge for the past two weeks.

We have been learning about inspiring Earth Heroes from all around the world, from Greta Thunburg and David Attenborough, to Mohammed Rezwan (who designed floating schools in Bangladesh) and Melati and Isabel (who successfully banned single use plastic on the island of Bali).

We were truly inspired by their dedication towards their passion – tackling climate change and the climate emergency.

We decided what we were most passionate about, and fact checked using ‘First News’, to check that our information was accurate. They even retweeted us! We then created catchy slogans and logos for our posters and scripts for our persuasive videos.
