Pendarren begins!

We have arrived in Pendarren!

After a journey singing hymns, several rounds of ‘The Wheels on the Bus’ and Abba and Queen’s greatest hits, we have arrived in Wales.

Wasting no time, we were quickly kitted up and outside into the sunshine. The first sights of spring are here in abundance. As we climbed and waded through our new natural surroundings, we enjoyed the quiet of the fields and the sunshine on our faces. Group three even found a frog hiding under a rock in the river grwyne!

“I’m so glad we didn’t bring our electronics,” noted one child, “the people are so lucky here, they get to breathe this fresh air all the time.”

As the sun began to set behind the mountain and its valley, we sat atop the hill quietly watching and thinking. “What words came to you as you observed the scenery around you?” asked one of our instructors. “Beauty. Tranquility. Calm. Quiet. Greenery. Zen. Peace.” came the replies. I think we’re going to like it here.
