Sisters of St Gildas’ visit

This week in 6O, we were lucky to have two Sisters of St Gildas’ come to talk to us about the patron saint of our school. They gave us some useful information about when and why the school was founded, as well as sharing their moments of realisation regarding their desires to become nuns. We also shared some of our work on our new RE topic, Vocation and Commitment. In English, we started our new unit of writing on The Piano by Aidan Gibbons. We wrote our own versions of the flashback to the old man’s wedding day, focusing on using emotive metaphors and colon sentences.
