The baptism of baby Gabriel.

03 Nov The baptism of baby Gabriel.

We walked to St Peter in Chains church for the baptism of our baby doll, Gabriel. We were all very excited and each had an important part to play. Father Sean spoke to us about how we welcome  baby Gabriel in to God’s family. Father Sean called Gabriel’s mummy and daddy, who were Millie and Quentin up to the alter to start the Baptism. He also invited Gabriel’s godparents to stand with them. First, Father Sean used a special shell to pour holy water from the font on to baby Gabriel’s head. This was to make him pure. Then made the sign of the cross on baby Gabriel’s forehead with a precious oil, as a sign of protection. Then Father Sean lit a special baptism candle for baby Gabriel, so that God will be the light in his life. Alex was the godfather and held the baptismal candle. Kayla was the Godmother and helped Father Sean to wrap baby Gabriel in a white shawl, to show us that he would be wrapped in God’s love. We then all said a prayer for Gabriel and sang some songs.
