Through the Porthole

In Y4 we have been studying the Windrush Generation. We thought about the journey they would take as they crossed the Atlantic Ocean from the Caribbean. We were particularly inspired by the poem ‘Windrush Child’ which depicts a child thinking about the life they are leaving behind. We created images of what might be seen as a child looks out the porthole as the ship departs.
