Y5 are currently reading the fantastic novel ‘There’s a Boy in the Girl’s Bathroom’ by Louis Sacher. The book deals with complex characters and their incredibly complex behaviours, which is great for us to practise using our inference skills. Here we are working together to analyse our main character Bradley’s thoughts, feelings, actions and motives using inference which we are backing up with evidence from the text. This is a very important skill to use when reading and we are improving how we support our inferences by referring to specific evidence from the book.
