26 Feb Year 3 Kandinsky Project
Year 3 have worked collaboratively in order to create a mural inspired by Russian abstract artist Wassily Kandinsky. The children looked closely at Kandinsky’s famous ‘Squares with Concentric Circles’ and worked on mixing primary colours together to make secondary colours as well as learning about the importance of colour theory to artists such as Kandinsky. We also focussed our attention on the colour wheel and the way in which omplimentary colours (colours opposite each other on the colour wheel) work well together.
